Anthony Rizzo, Jr., is the President and CEO of Danbury-based Rizzo Companies, a third-generation, family-owned business that offers electrical contracting, general construction, railway, heavy and highway, electrical projects, and a 24/7 service department in Connecticut and New York.

Anthony's story is deeply rooted in Danbury, CT. He is the third of four children born and raised in this community. His journey began at the Henry Abbott Technical School Electrical program in 1984, and he chose to work in the family business, A.M. Electrical Contractors, Inc., upon graduation. His strong ties to the community and early family business experiences have shaped his leadership style and commitment to service.

In 1992, Anthony's leadership journey began when he was named President of the company. With a determined mindset and a vision to diversify the organization, Anthony led the Rizzo Companies to new heights. A.M. Rizzo Electrical Contractors and Rizzo Companies are now among the premier electrical

and general contractors in CT. JAR Associates, LLC, a leading property owner and developer in the greater Danbury area, is another testament to the company's growth. These divisions, now known as The Rizzo Companies, are continually expanding into other areas of the construction field under Anthony's steadfast leadership, showcasing his exceptional business acumen and forward-thinking vision.

The Rizzo Companies celebrated their 60th anniversary in 2022 and currently employ third-generation family members. The Company has completed several major Danbury area projects, including a much-needed donated EMS building on the west side of Danbury. In addition to the numerous local school renovations, Rizzo created the critically essential Rizzo Garage for Danbury Hospital. These projects are a testament to the Company's commitment to the community and have significantly contributed to the local infrastructure.

In 2023, Anthony and his wife, Patty, made a generous commitment to the local community by endowing a Rheumatology Chair at Danbury Hospital. This commitment hopes to attract Rheumatologists to the area, expand clinical research to improve diagnosis and care delivery and play a vital role in contributing to healthcare innovation.

Anthony lives in Bethel, CT, with his wife and high school sweetheart, Patty. They celebrated 38 years of marriage and are the proud parents of three children: Anthony III, Chelsie, and Ryan, and three grandchildren, Mikey, Khloe, and Sophie.
